I. Student Access Goal: All Coloradans shall have access to comprehensive community college educational programs.
- June 15-17 was College for Kids for a group of 4th-7th advanced learners from Wiggins.
- Health occupations information sessions were held on June 14 and August 10.
- MCC held Saturday one-stop registration morning on August 21 to accommodate prospective students who needed weekend access to the college.
- Two well-attended orientation sessions for new students were held -one in the evening and one on a Saturday morning-to acquaint them with college personnel, computer logins, library services, student life, and bookstore services.
- A new catalog 2010-11 is ready for print following a delay for updated policy information.
- Construction is nearing completion on MCC's new health science wing that moves that instruction area into a new era of technology and expanded space. Health careers continue to be in high demand.
- The Summer Institute for Educators featured early childhood education classes with a highly successful kick-off day on June 12 with speakers and vendors. Dr. Ruth Tryon coordinated the event.
- Enrollment numbers show a 13% increase over enrollment for fall 2009.
- Dan Marler and MCC were recognized by the Executive Director of the Colorado Department of Labor and Employment, Don Mares, and Governor Ritter specifically for all of his assistance with the Career Explorations Camp this summer.
- MCC has had a presence at county fairs, festivals and community fund raisers over the summer.

II. Student Success Goal: The demands of Colorado businesses and communities shall be met through the development of a high skilled work force.
- To date MCC A.A.S. nursing graduates can boast a 100% pass rate over the summer with three candidates yet to take the exam.
- This year's nursing class has 44 first year students and 38 second year students. A few are driving from Denver to attend MCC's program. With such a large population in the program, the faculty and staff are more than ready to move into the new facility in September.
- The Physical Therapist Assistant program has 21 enrolled for the first year and 24 for the second year. That program will move into a part of Spruce Hall that has been totally remodeled.
- Kevin Massey and Casey Grinolds competed in the SkillsUSA nationals in Kansas City this summer. Massey brought home the gold medal for collision repair and Grinolds took 5th place in refinishing. The championship is a very proud first for MCC.
- Ten HOSA students and their sponsors expanded their horizons in health care career possibilities at the national conference held in Orlando.
- Two Phi Beta Lambda students represented MCC at the national conference in Anaheim.
- New for fall semester is Dairy Management, a certificate program to support the growing dairy industry in eastern Colorado.

III. Student Success Goal: Colorado students shall have seamless opportunities to transition from high school into college and from two-year institutions into four-year institutions.
- Admissions and center directors held registration sessions in high schools.
- Distance learning technology (WAVES, VNETS, and Polycom) is connecting high schools and MCC for interactive television facilitated classrooms for college classes.
- Over 45 privately funded scholarships were awarded to students for fall semester.

IV. Student Success Goal: Colorado students shall have the opportunity to succeed through high quality, cutting-edge instruction and educational services.
- Using CCSSE data and graduation rates from the U.S. Department of Education, The Washington Monthly ranked MCC among the top 50 community colleges in the America. MCC was listed as number 36. MCC was the only Colorado school to achieve that distinction.
- Construction progress on the new health science wing has been the focal point of the summer months. $600,000 donated by the community has provided equipment and furnishing for the state-of-the-art learning environment with computer labs, simulated life-sized manikins, and microbiology lab equipment.

V. Operational Excellence Goal: The financial stability of the system's institutions and the physical safety of its students shall be ensured.
- The Dahms-Talton Foundation gave MCC another $24,000 toward the MCC Jazz Ensemble endowment.
- MCC received a grant from the Deerbrook Charitable Trust for an "encore career" certificate program. The target is for older adults who desire to reenter the workforce in a health care role: phlebotomist, nurse aide for home health, LPN preparation, EMT, medical assisting, and pharmacy technician.
- The Emergency Response Team has revised the emergency response guide and sent it to print.
