The Workplace Education Program exists as a partnership between Morgan Community College and Cargill Meat Solutions in Fort Morgan. Cargill reserves on site space for 3 classrooms and a computer lab for ESL, Basic Skills, GED, and College prep. Employees of the plant and their family members attend class before or after their regular shift at the plant. Employees are compensated half their hourly wage when they participate in the program.

The program began in 1993 with 40 ESL students and a box of books. Currently, over 200 students per year utilize the services of the Workplace Education program. The program has received recognition nationally and is a long lasting example of a successful partnership between business and education. In 2006 the program was recognized as one of the top five such programs in the nation.
